Pink Rain Lily
I’ve noticed these long pink flowers that only bloom after we have a rain. Of course, we’re in a MAJOR drought down here in San Antonio, but occasionally, we get a sprinkle of rain. Then these flowers come up.
It must have “sprinkled” again this past weekend when I was gone from the house during the day. These flowers have once again bloomed:
They are native to Mexico so I guess it’s not a far stretch that they are here in San Antonio. Their Botanical name: Zephyranthes carinata Family: Amaryllidaceae (amarlyllis family).
